Qiko is designed as a direct peer-to-peer (P2P) messaging application. We value your privacy and implement design choices that ensure your data remains in your control.
Qiko does not collect, monitor, store, or transmit your messages to any third party or central server. All chat communications are transmitted directly browser-to-browser via WebRTC (P2P) and are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage.
To establish direct P2P connections, Qiko utilizes a public signaling server (PeerJS) and Firebase Realtime Database to match Qiko IDs. This coordination data is transient and used solely for establishing the initial connection.
We do not share any session metadata or identifier information with third-party analytical or advertising services.
